The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

My goal for earning a MSW so I could be a therapist was interrupted by 25 years of being married to my college sweetheart, moving around, having and raising three children, and being in residence for 18 years at a 750 acre Christian camp, Pocono Plateau, in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. I love nature and the out of doors so the place suited me well. I took up cross country skiing to explore every acre. I stayed in the mountains after divorce going back to school to do what I had started out to do many years ago. And so it is today. I am here to say there is life after 50! I married again and together we have been to Germany and Scotland. I am most proud to have climbed the Cairngorm Mountain, in the Scottish Highlands, wearing hiking boots and a dress - the only clean clothes I had left. My parents met and graduated from Penn State so we all have memorial blocks on the Alumni Walk. Penn State imprinted me in a profound way so I had to leave our footprints there.
